What is Diffusing?
To answer this question, let's take a look at the substance diffused in
Aromatherapy: essential oils. If we look up essential oils in The New
Lexicon Webster's Encyclopedic Dictionary we see:
"Essential Oils. One of a class of volatile odoriferous substances obtained
by the distillation or extraction of certain plant products."
We are most interested in the sixth word here: "volatile". Let's look that up.
"Volatile. Evaporating quickly and easily at ordinary temperatures."
What Does This Mean?
Since essential oils are naturally
volatile and they evaporate quickly and easily at ordinary temperatures, they don't
require any heat or any motion to help them diffuse. Exposing the essential oil to the air is all you need to do to begin the diffusing process!
A Terra Cotta Pendant wearable diffuser easily satisfies this requirement. The clay piece absorbs the essential oil
into it's tiny air pockets and slowly releases the oil into the air. See how simple it is here!
Enjoy diffusing wherever you go with a Terra Cotta Pendant!
